Science-based tools tools to prevent overdose deaths are under attack in Philadelphia due to stigma and prejudice — just like so many tools to prevent the spread of HIV have been attacked.

ACT UP is fighting back through messaging and actions targeting Philly’s Mayor and City Council to stand against stigma and take action to make sure people have access to every tool to save lives:

Naloxone
clean needles & syringes
barrier free access to recovery services
safe, stable, affordable housing
Overdose Prevention Sites

Join ACT UP at City Council on September 14th, 2023, to demand that Overdose Prevention Sites are a tool in every district’s toolkit.
